Privacy Policy
Draft for review. This document must be checked before sales start.
1. Who is responsible
[SELLER / COMPANY NAME], [POSTAL ADDRESS], New Zealand, is responsible for personal information collected through aptitudetests.ca. Our privacy contact is [NAME OR TITLE OF PRIVACY CONTACT], reachable at [email protected].
2. What we collect and why
| Information | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Email address, payment reference, the test you bought, amount paid | To complete your purchase, send your access link and receipt, and give you access for 4 weeks |
| Transaction records | To meet accounting and tax obligations |
| Messages you send us | To answer questions and handle refunds |
| IP address and technical request data | To keep the Site secure and working |
We do not collect more than we need. We do not see your card details: Stripe processes them.
3. Consent
By buying a Pack you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. We will not send you marketing emails unless you separately opt in, and every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Emails about your purchase (receipt and access link) are not marketing.
4. Who we share it with
- Stripe (payment processing),
- Cloudflare (hosting and security),
- Resend (sending emails).
These service providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States and New Zealand, where it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under local law. We use contracts and their security measures to protect it. We never sell personal information.
5. How long we keep it
Transaction records: as long as tax law requires (generally up to 7 years). Access records: until your access ends plus the time needed to handle refunds or disputes. Messages: until your request is resolved.
6. Cookies and browser storage
The Site uses essential browser storage (localStorage) only, for example to remember your cookie choice. This does not need consent.
We do not currently use analytics or advertising tools. If that changes, we will ask for your consent before anything is loaded.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent (which may mean we can no longer provide access). Email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca), or to the provincial commissioner in Alberta or British Columbia if you live there.
8. Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page.
